Hi!
Looks like you’re interested in our Artists@theBarn residency!

That’s great!

Here’s the good news and the bad news:

We don’t do applications.

We hate doing them.

We hate evaluating them.

We don’t think they’re a very good method in general.

We’d rather you spent your time making art!

So, how do artists get selected for a residency?

A lot of our artists are nominated by previous artists@theBarn.We also partner with well established groups who nominate artists for the residency. And T4tP nominates a few artists directly each year.

The best way to get a residency is to work with us, work with an artist who’s done a residency, or work with a company who we are partnered with to nominate artists.

If you’re working with a company that we might be interested in partnering with, have them reach out to us.

If you have an established artistic mentor who wants to recommend you for a residency, have them reach out to us.

And finally, we’d much rather just get to know you and your work on a personal level.

We like people. We want to help artists. We like to know people or at least have a good recommendation from someone we know or a group that we trust.

Let’s have coffee, come see something we’re doing, or invite us to something you’re doing.

We look forward to getting to know you and your work!

Let’s talk!

Tell us about yourself, invite us to something you’re doing, send us your website, tell us your favorite joke, and then go back to making art!
